Print sizes (A0, Letter, Legal, NTS map sheet)

I needed to show a client how large an A0 print is compared to standard 1:50,000 scale Canadian topographic map sheets (NTS). Wikipedia has a nice render of the A0 sizes:

Drupal Openlayers on TED Talks with Tim Berners-Lee

One of the great joys in working in Open Source is that your work pops up in unexpected places. Yesterday I was watching Tim Berners-Lee (Inventor of the World-Wide-Web), giving a TED Talk about open-data. Imagine my surprise when he flips to afghanistanelectiondata.org, a website designed to make data from the 2009 Afghanistan presidential election accessible and transparent, and I recognize the interface!

New Referrals System Description

We've recently installed our Referrals Management Toolbox as add-ons to a couple of Community Information Systems. Seems like the right time to tell folks about the functionality in the Base Toolbox and what we can add in terms of custom features. Go to the Referrals Toolbox page to learn more. Send us a quotation request and let's discuss how this toolbox can assist with your resource management capacity building.

Cooking with OpenLayers Part II: Creating a Simple Layer Module

Blogger:
Patrick

This is the second post in a series of blog entries on how to solve Drupal mapping problems with the OpenLayers Module

The OpenLayers module has support for all sorts of different layers - KML, WMS, WFS, Vectors &c. The list goes on. However, currently there is no UI for adding new layers. Eventually there will be, but for the time being we need to rely on modules and code to make new layers available to presets.

Cooking with OpenLayers Part I: Computed WKT to map multitple loc fields

This is the first part in a series of blog entries on how to solve Drupal mapping problems with the OpenLayers Module

I ran into a problem creating map views where I wanted to map multiple latitude and longitude fields that were created using the Locations module.

Openlayers only supports one source of latitude and longitude information, so how do we map multiple lat/lon fields?

Geomemes has lately been collaborating on creating a new powerhouse mapping module for the Drupal CMS called OpenLayers. Our major coding partner for this project has been Zzolo, who has recently posted quite a good technical explication of the module. So if code is your thing, check out his post:
